Conceived over ten years ago the idea of Big Gig was to be a simple an effective way of local venues and bands to promote their gigs and events. A locally produced magazine - The BigGig Guide for Taunton complemented the site over a period of two years until the decision was made it was no longer viable to continue in print.

Relaunching the main BigGig site in April 2011, and frustrated with how difficult it is to find out what's going on in Taunton these days, TauntonGig is complementary to the BigGig site highlighting local live music events but also what else is 'going on'.  Got an event to promote - add it to the site.  It's free and people won't know about it unless you tell them!
